Pendleton Presbyterian Church, located in Pendleton, SC, is a member of the Foothills Presbytery and part of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest Presbyterian group in the country, is bound by a common constitution, a Book of Confessions, and a framework of governing bodies. The Presbyterian system is a representative democracy. Members elect their own officers and pastors. Elders always share decision-making powers with Ministers of the Word and Sacrament.

Pendleton Presbyterian Church is governed by the Session, consisting of nine elders and the pastor.
